Chabad Shluchim that operate in the continent of Asia are spending the day in Mumbai, India, for their annual regional Kinus convention.
They will be remaining in the city for the reopening ceremony of the Nariman House, home to the local Chabad center which was targeted by terrorists in 2008.
Opening the convention was Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, Vice Chairman of Merkos L’inyonei Chincuh who mentioned answers from the Rebbe about Shlichus.
Next, the Head Shliach of Asia Rabbi Mordechai Avtzon of Hong Kong spoke about the early days and how activities have progressed since.
Welcoming the new Mumbai Shliach Rabbi Israel Kozlovsky was Rabbi Yosef Chaim Kantor, Head Shliach of Thailand who knew the former slain Shliach Rabbi Gabi Holtzberg HY”D.
Among the discussions during the convention will be the topic of education for Shluchim’s children, as well as keeping family family and conducting services in the synagogue.
They will also be addressed by the new CEO of El Al Airlines David Maimon. The event is produced by Fleishman Productions.
