By Rabbi Yosef Eichenblatt
With air raid sirens, rockets, the flight ban and the defense operation in the south the past month has been quite tense here in Israel.
Through it all Abraham’s Tent in Jerusalem has continued to be a home away from home for tourists, a safe haven for those in need and a source of inspiration for all who walk through it’s doors.
Many people in Israel, especially in the southern area, are being bombarded by rockets and are under a constant fear of terror, many are forced to remain in shelters. With tourism down since the start of the war, we have been offering families from the south a breather from their difficult and stressful situation with a free stay at Abraham’s Tent.
Abraham’s Tent sits at the heart and soul of our people, and it connects with people at the peak of their Jewish inspiration, which can quickly fade if not nurtured. By providing meaningful opportunities that strengthen Jewish identity, foster Jewish continuity and affiliation, Abraham’s Tent is a game-changer in this equation. A sound investment with a guaranteed return in a stronger future for Jewish communities around the world.
It says that by G-d’s kindness the Jewish people were dispersed around the world, so that when Jews in one part of the world need help the others can be there for them. Today I am asking you to help me help others in Israel.
I am launching a 24 hour fundraising campaign where your donation will be matched by three people who have each committed to donate one fourth of our $10,000 campaign if the goal is reached within 24 hours. Every dollar you give will be quadrupled! Please help us through these trying times.
You can make your Tax-Deductible donation at www.charidy.com/abestent
May Hashem bring lasting peace to Eretz Yisroel, Am Yisrael and the world.
The link shows the goal was Baruch Hashem exceeded, and there is no place there to still donate.
