Congregants of Bais Bezalel Chabad in Los Angeles were treated last week to spend some candid time with Rabbi Yehuda Krinsky, the long-time secretary of the Lubavitcher Rebbe.
Rabbi Krinsky, Chairman of two of the central Chabad-Lubavitch institutions Merkos L’inyonei Chinuch and Machne Israel Development Fund, was in town for his bris of his great-grandson on Tuesday.
Following the bris, he sat at the meal with his son Rabbi Levi Krinsky, Head Shliach of New Hampshire, and Bais Bezalel’s Rabbi Moshe Levin, and began a conversation that continued late into the night.
Over food catered by Schnitzly Restaurant, the evening also served as a farbrengen in honor of Chof Av, the 70th yartzeit of the Rebbe’s father, Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Schneerson, OBM.
Rabbi Krinsky patiently answered questions presented to him. His answers covered his personal family history, how he become a Mazkir, the Rebbe’s involvement in making his Shidduch and how he had Shalom Bayis despite working over time at 770 Eastern Parkway.
COLlive received an audio recording of some of the personal stories he told vis-à-vis the Rebbe that many of us had never heard before.

Is there more? It seems that it cut out in middle of the conversation. Fantastic stuff.
Curious though. He said it’s “unimportant” how he ended up driving the Rebbe to the ohel while he was still a Bachur. Anyone know how?
