COLlive.com presents Shabbos Night Live, a weekly web class with Torah thought, chassidic stories and timely inspiration.
Presented by Rabbi Shmuel Butman, Executive Director of the Central Lubavitch Youth Organization (Tzach Hamerkazis) and a long-time columnist and radio broadcaster.
In honor of the Chof Av, the 70th yartzeit of Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Schneerson, father of the Rebbe and one of the greatest Talmudic and Kabbalistic scholars of his generation.
Rabbi Butman takes viewers to the cemetery in Almaty (Alma Ata), Kazakhstan, where Reb Levik is buried and discusses where the Rebbe received the news of his father’s passing and when did the Frierdiker Rebbe hear about it.

moshiach now
Broadcasts such as this one make who we are and what we stand for, regardless of our individual backgrounds, so much more real and meaningful, so proud to be Lubavitchers. Until Moshiach arrives, this is the kind of viewing we and our children should be tuned in to, literally and figuratively. Thank you, Rabbi Butman, for those inspiring words and for the virtual visit to Reb Levik’s tzion. May we speedily be reunited with him and the Rebbe in our Holy Land, b’karov MaMoSh.
For me the most moving part is the Rabbi weaving and walking in and out, to get the Kever.
Rabbi Butman’s broadcast from Reb Leivik’s, Tzion, is both emotionally uplifting and inspiring.
The content as always, edifying and informative, connecting the listener to the “Source of the Wellspring.”
Thank you Rabbi Butman for the beautiful way in which you present everything with its “source in Torah” and the relevant manner it which it is presented.
I was very moved by the (video) setting of the broadcast and musical accompaniment.
Moshiach Now!
thank you
Excellent,
