Looking at these pictures has taken me real back!! I used to come up here in the summer time. From the time I was eight till I was 15. Ahh good times had by all!!

great pictures, great moments, great achdus, great memories..but please yidden you are eating yourselves to a culinary disaster,..obesity in this country is pervasive – take to heart, or rather take to your stomachs.. I am not suggesting everyone eat celery sticks, but moderation and good common sense and education is the goal-don’t want to put a damper on the fun..but just would rather see everyone live long healthy lives…
I’m smiling as I scroll down these pictures. As an out of towner I also thought the Catskills was overrated until I started going up with my family. It is the best gift we can give our family.

These pictures really transported me, at least virtually, to the Catskills. We’ve been trying to go every summer for a few days and just those few days makes such a big difference. I love the diversity.

BH I live in a beautiful place with amazing weather year round – but I do miss the “country.”
i wonder if u were ever in the country 2 experience all the unbelievably amazing benefits before saying its ‘overrated’. for some of us it takes a ton of effort and sacrifice to make the country even a possibility for our children to be here (no beautiful summer home, just a little old fashioned bungalow, no babysitting or cleaning help in order 2 pay the bungalow rent and most of all managing w/o our spouse all wk). but the reason i do it, as well as many of my friends and family do, is because some of our own fondest… Read more »

I love that we get out of crown heights and live among other types of frum jews. I think it’s beautiful. We are one family and this gives me a feeling of unity with our brothers and sisters. Kind of like being in Eretz Yisroel.
