COLlive.com presents Shabbos Night Live, a weekly web class with Torah thought, chassidic stories and timely inspiration.
Presented by Rabbi Shmuel Butman, Executive Director of the Central Lubavitch Youth Organization (Tzach Hamerkazis) and a long-time columnist and radio broadcaster.
In honor of the 20th Gimmel Tammuz, the program is broadcast from the southern Ukrainian city of Nikolayev, the birth place of the Rebbe.
Rabbi Butman takes viewers to the location of the Rebbe’s birth and the cheder where the Rebbe learned in his childhood, before his family moved to Yekaterinoslav (today Dnepropetrovsk).
Speaking from the cheder, Rabbi Butman discusses what should be the chassidim’s response to twenty years since 3 Tammuz 5754.

Rabbi Butman u outdid urself! I wouldve loved to be ther withu !
Zol der A-R takeh helfen!!
Wow, Rabbi Butman outdid himself. And what an amazing idea to broadcast from the actual room where the Rebbe went to cheder.
I have one request for the people who produce the videos: For people who are hard of hearing, having the background music so loud makes it very difficult to get everything Rabbi Butman says — I would appreciate if in the future either the music could be softer, or you could have a button to make it optional. Thanks in advance. 🙂
