Poem: You Make a Difference

Take a look at the world around
While you may feel safe and sound
It may look to you
As a place so real and true

But let’s get real!

Lives are being taken
Many are being shaken
From the sudden losses
And from life’s hardships

There are those who are struggling
Just to make a living
Fellow Jews, locked behind bars
Or other kinds of terrible horrors

Or those who are sick
Watching the clocks tick
There are those who’s hopes are nearly gone
How can we, in our own lives, just carry on?

Ad Mosai, it’s been enough!
This Galus is so dark and tough
We need to always remember our goal
And not allow the evil to take a toll

You are not here by chance!
You’re in the world to enhance
We need to each do our part
And finish up the start

This is what we were created for
To serve Hashem, our Master
To make this world a dwelling place
And do it with great haste

We cannot let our hopes fade
Nor of our challenges can we be afraid
Our job is to do our very best
And trust in Hashem even in times of test

We are truly near the end
Moshiach, Hashem will speedily send
Let’s take upon an area to improve in
And make a collective resolution

In Ahavas Yisrael we shall increase
So that in the world there will be peace
On a level we are all the same
It needs to be a joint aim

Spread the word to those far and near
So that everyone can take part and hear
Make it your own, make it practical
So to bring Moshiach faster, we will be successful!
