#4 -To Aaron 1. As I’m sure you are aware, that “as soon as the child is fit” for a bris after the 8th day, it is forbidden to delay any further (kitzur shulchan oruch). 2. The Sunday the baby presented himself was the week of Shavous (which this past year was Wed/Thurs); there are those who hold that the 3rd day of a pushed off bris should not be Yom Tov (yoreh deah chapter 260). BS”D
to #3 thanks for taking the time to answer. However I still believe you did not address the question. True, as you say there are…….from Him. But also true is that one can mis
interpret the seeming message. It is unheard of to have to do what these doctors did to force a Bris. So my question remains- once the 8th passed, what was the necessity to do it ” this day+

(All this is just to give you some background, does not constitute a… Read more »

BS”D I am a firm believer and user of the Igros. However can someone explain to me what is the difference when the Bris takes place once it is 3 weeks late and then to force a Doctors hand possibly exposing the baby to risk. The Rebbes way was to heed the Doctors advise. I don’t necessarily see how the answer applied to the situation
