Rabbi Shimon Elituv, an Israeli Chabad rabbi, recently met with Rabbi Yosef Shalom Eliashiv, the paramount leader of Israel's Litvak Haredi Jews. The two met in Eliashiv's modest home in Jerusalem where they discussed civil marriage and conversion to Judaism - both on the agenda of the Israeli government.
