Kotel Rabbi to Restrict Pope

The Lubavitch rabbi of the Western Wall, Shmuel Rabinovitch, has said ahead of Pope Benedict XVI's May visit to Israel that it is not proper to come to the holy site wearing a cross. He also opposes security arrangements that would prevent worshipers from reaching the Kotel. Full Story

he is a sonei yisroel! you should have seen his comments to the gaza war. he has no business being at the kotel. maybe he should return our artifacts and seforim which were stolen from us.

From reading your headline it would seem that rabanowitz told the pope to stay away unless he removes his cross. All rabanowitz did was say that he thought it was not appropriate.
