The Yeshiva University’s Center for the Jewish Future has aired a tribute to the Rebbe on his 19th yartzeit on its website YUTorah.org.
A shiur titled “7 powerful ideas from the Lubavitcher Rebbe that can change your life” brings inspiring approaches to living life with purpose and meaning according to Torah and chassidus.
It was presented by Rabbi Shlomo Einhorn, Dean and Rav of Yeshivat Yavneh in Los Angeles, CA, and creator of the WINGS consulting group for synagogues in the USA.
“Who here can say they are not a student of the Rebbe in some way?” he opened with a rhetorical question. “Almost every Jew has been touched in some way and affected by the Rebbe.”
Einhorn said that in preparation for the class he emailed over 40 individuals connected to Chabad – from the Shluchim and fervent followers to the admirers from afar – asking them to share their favorite idea from the Rebbe.
From the responses he got, he chose 7 of them to present in the class. They stem from Thailand Head Shliach Rabbi Yosef Chaim Kantor, world-renowned orator Rabbi YY Jacobson, Israeli diplomat Yehuda Avner, North Dakota Shliach Rabbi Yonah Grossman and others.
AUDIO:
Is a gadol in his own right. A brilliant Talmud chaham and lives a life of mesiras nefesh. I know of many people who call his for shalos and counseling
Can you please summarize the intro.Thank you.
Also recognition to Tzvi Stauber for his powerful introduction.
The recording did not catch it but it truly set the stage.
One might say it actually made the speech what it was.
…who were bashing the ‘Modern Orthodox’ schools and how they do not care about teaching Midos Tovos, or real frumkeit…I am PROUD that my children went to this school.
From a Chabad family
Thank you for thoughtfully summarizing the shiur for those of us who may not be ready or able to listen to the audio – you are a chosid
For those of you who have not had the good fortune to meet Rabbi Einhorn, there is only one word to describe him, Gadol.
I have never met another who has as much love for yiddishkie as he does. We are very blessed to have him in L.A.
It is really nice to hear a perspective about the Rebbe that is not coming from a Lubavitcher. It was really amazing and everyone in attendance was moved by it.
yasher koach to R’ Einhorn for a great shiur and to Shaya and Nechama Dina for great wings and rugelach.
We are so lucky to have Rabbi Shlomo Einhorn here in Los Angeles!

It was worth listening to. I enjoyed it.
B’kitzur: 1. Brining the Aleph of the Alufo shel Olam into the goleh to make geulah. No matter where we go, we see (make?) G-dliness in that place. 2. When is wax and thread recognized as a candle? When the fire of Torah lights it. The Rebbe makes the connection, but you must light your own fire. 3. Tracht gut vet zein gut: your positivity affects the world, even if you don’t see it change before your eyes 4. HKBH does all the mitzvos. And He is with you in all your mitzvos, like your own yehi ratzon. 5. It’s… Read more »
if you have the time to actually listen, I would highly recommend it. Rav Einhorn is extremely well read, and well-spoken. This was very enjoyable to listen to , with all his added insights, citations, stories, and explanations.
I know the tadik nistar who gave him the sicha about hashem’s mesiras nefesh. He hates publicity.
