An appreciation event was held for girls who provide remote mentorship to Yaldei Hashluchim worldwide.

What do shluchim in Nebraska, Idaho, and Sweden have in common? They—and their children—are all in remote locations with very few (if any) like-minded peers.

With more and more shluchim moving to such areas around the globe, there is an ever-increasing need to provide yaldei hashluchim with the Chassidishkeit, companionship, and sense of community that allow them to continue and grow in their shlichus and hiskashrus to Rebbe.

On Thursday night 20 Shevat, Merkos Suite 302’s MyShliach held an appreciation event for girls who fill this purpose by providing remote mentorship to these yaldei hashluchim worldwide.

While participants enjoyed delicious food and received a special edition of the Shluchim Kids Speak magazine, the highlight was that girls and their mentors, who learn and farbreng over the phone while living in opposite corners of the world, were able to meet each other in person for the very first time.

These yearly appreciation events highlight the impact that these mentors have in just one hour a week.
