Chabad of South Orlando held a farbrengen Monday, celebrating the auspicious chassidic day of Yud Shvat, the yartzeit of the Friediker Rebbe and the day the Rebbe accepted leadership of Chabad-Lubavitch.
Joining them was the Kalever Rebbe, Rabbi Moshe Taub of Williamsburg, who was in Orlando as part of his worldwide travels teaching Jewish people about Judaism.
Following words by the hosting Shliach Rabbi Yosef Konikov and his brother Rabbi Zvi Konikov of Chabad of the Space and Treasure Coasts, the Kalever Rebbe ventured to speak.
He spoke about the awesome Mesiras Nefesh of the 6th Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchok Schneersohn who was born into the heart of Communism and fought for Russian Jewry on all fronts, ensuring the survival of Judaism in the Old World.
The Kalever Rebbe said the Friediker Rebbe "walked with Kedusha," and to him, the evils and kelipah of the world did not exist.
