A most inspiring and spiritual Shabbos that will be engraved in people’s minds for a long time was concluded in Connecticut with an uplifting concert and delicious buffet.
The 300 Chabad women and girls who gathered at the 51st Nshei Ubnos Chabad Convention at the Heritage hotel in scenic Southbury were more than grateful for participating.
Coming from as close as nearby Connecticut towns, New York and as far as Copenhagen, Denmark, the diverse group of women from all walks of life shared camaraderie and friendship.
But when asked, participants were almost equally divided on what they enjoyed most about what is being labeled one of the best conventions yet.
Some cited the variety of workshops and lectures on topics spanning the Jewish life-cycle, such as chassidus, Jewish history, shalom bayis, shidduchim, chinuch and more.
Others credited the impressive line up of world renowned speakers including Rabbi YY Jacobson, Rabbi Manis Friedman, Mrs. Chana Weisberg, Dr. Yisroel Susskind, Mrs. Sarah Karmely and Mrs. Helena Herman to name a few.
Then there were was the five star dining and meals prepared by Levi Feigenson of Table 1 Catering.
And there were the personal stories – Mrs. Rivka Kotlarsky about her parents moving from Russia to Cleveland on Shlichus, Mrs. Katz of New Haven speaking about how her father Rabbi Moshe Hecht OBM set up Jewish day schools in Massachusetts and Connecticut.
A full Shabbos ended with a dessert buffet and grand concert with singing sensation Meleha, who joined the convention from France, and got the women up on their feet in dance.
Mrs. Mina Eisenbach, shlucha in Litchfield, Connecticut who hosted the convention along with her husband Rabbi Yossi Eisenbach, said that she was inspired by seeing so many women from around the country and all walks of life, spending Shabbos together, in a unique way.
“What’s so amazing is that everyone here has a story,” she said. “Everyone here has something to share, and we are all inspired by each other.”

For those of us tat were lucky enough to bring a mekureves you were able to se a LIVE transformation in their neshomo over the weekend. You are amazing… u did an awesome job! You really gave this event your all for almost two months and it was a huge success because of YOU.
I never post on these things, but I felt compelled in this case!!! thank you to Mina and Rabbi for the most inspiring, meaningful and thought provoking experiences of my life. Everything was outstanding, b’ruchnius and b’gashmius. The bonding of friends, over gourmet food while going over the torah concepts of the last speech was nourishing in all senses of the word. The unity of bnos chabad from all walks of life provided a palpable energy from which we will all be drawing strength for many months… Thank you for organizing such a phenomenal event!!!!!!
