No need to freeze just cover it in either plastic wrap or foil and it can stand for ages. Fill as and when u need it. It’s delicious. Thanks again Bitayavon. We love you.

Always impressed

Nice to see they keep their standard and always improve – I love that a jewish publication (especially lubavitch run/owned) is so up there with the other comparable magazines – wishing them lots of luck and success.

We should all support them, this is also great for shluchim to use to promote mivtza kashrus to their baalei batim

Nice!

vinegar substitute
September 12, 2012 7:38 am

Yes, chabad’s minhag is not to have vinegar on RH.

You can substitute with lemon juice (but cut it down to 1 tsp). That is my pavlova recipe and it comes out great.

Also, the picture shows mini ones. I usually make a big on. Draw a circle on a large piece of parchment paper, and fill up the circle, making the sides thicker and the center thinner.

wow!!

Vinegar?
September 11, 2012 7:56 pm

I thought vinegar is one of the ingredients we customarily don’t use on Rosh Hashana. Is there a substitute?
If anyone has a suggestion, please post.
I love meringues.

Use pareve whip for a meat meal. I don’t think they freeze, they’ll crumble when they defrost. I’m going to try this, it sounds delicious.

Mmm
