I love this piece so much. So much do I love the Jewish faith that I wanted to convert, but was told I wasn’t ready – I am ashamed to say I was jealous of those I knew who were Jewish by birth and couldn’t care less.

Beautiful

I’ve done a little speaking in CH to a number of classes in both Bais Rivka and Bnos Menachem. And I’m open to speaking more, I’ve had great experiences with the girls every time, BH! If you are interested or know of someone who is, please have them contact me through my website. http://www.rucheli.com

Thanks!

Deeply inspiring!
August 14, 2012 8:31 pm

The inspiration you transmit to as-yet non-committed Jews can well be utilized to even greater advantage among Lubavitcher youth who are sometimes confused by the challenges of the secular world. Speaking engagements by you and others who have had similar experiences should be featured at frequent special events at our schools and yeshivos in order to show how the sparkle of the secular world is ephemeral and lacks substance.
Thanks for sharing your experiences with us, and great thanks to the Shluchim and Mashpiyim who have worked with you over the years.

Re: The Rohrs
August 14, 2012 5:03 pm

A truly timely article to post coming shortly after the passing of the great philanthropist Sami Rohr a’h. As is well know the Rohr Family has funded and been largely influential in the explosion of campus shluchim and programs geared to college students. Sinai Scholars and its retreats and other programs exist because of the generous contribution and continuing interest in these most successful programs. I am certain this article will advocate for Reb Shmuel in Gan Eden as well as be a source of comfort and inspire his family. May Hashem grant the whole family and particularly his son… Read more »

When the author of this great article was an atheist, how can a ‘scientific mind’ be so biased? If one uses as a model, say Xristianity, accepting this an acceptable proof that all religion is ‘myth,’ stupid, etc? Imagine conducting an experiment using such parameters?
If one goes into a scientific experiment with preconceived notions, might no the outcome be in accord with our preconceptions?
Is this thinking not a degradation and betrayal of ‘The Scientific Mind?’
