All 3 members of the Crown Heights Beis Din came Thursday to the corner of Lefferts and Troy Avenues to inspect the building site of the new Mikvah Mei Chaya Mushka.
Rabbi Avrohom Osdoba, Rabbi Yaacov Schwei and Rabbi Yosef Braun toured together and heard from renowned Mikvah experts Rabbi Yirmi Katz and Elozar Raichik.
The 3 rabbis watched as the concrete was poured and then discussed halachic and construction aspects of the Mikvah that is being described by its interior designer Maggie Rogatsky as “a prototype for beautiful facilities for many years to come.”
Rabbi Katz described the Mikvah – which will be only bor al gabei bor, as the Chabad custom – as one that will be “one of the most mehudar Mikvos in the United States.”
The visit was truly unique as the Badatz members are known for their differences since the last election was held in September 2010 to add a third rabbi to the rabbinical court.
It was the first time the three made a planned joined public appearance. But R’ Moshe Pinson, the force behind the Mikvah, said this should not come as a surprise.
“When it comes to building a Mikvah, everyone makes peace,” he told COLlive.com. “They know the great importance of a Mikvah and together called on people to give as much as possible to we can open it on Chof Beis Shvat.”

BH. ” Toivel”, has the same letters as “bitul”, thats why for a mikva where one toivels, the Dayanim can come together,
This brought tears to my eyes. Please – all those involved – allow this to continue. Anyone that thinks they may be a koch lefel should do teshuva and step back and allow this beautiful step towards achdus continue.
for three men…
One giant leap for Achdus and Moshiach !!!!
Hodu L’Hashem ki Tov…!!
the bottle of 18yr glenlivit was waiting 18years for the Rabonim to make peace., GREAT job by maggie THANK YOU a million times over kol hakovod
They are also seen together at the major farbrengens in 770 but R’ Osdaba leaves as soon as he speaks so he does not have to listen to the other Rabbonim
hope this is the begining of the end to fighting and politics!!
You’re worse than me. I thought I was negative.
When was the last time you saw women rabbis or women builders. Get a life.
We recently built a Mikvah with Rabbi Katz, and he not only made it to be mehadrin min hamehadrin, he also ensured that the Mikva be a MIKspa.
It is Mikvah for body and soul, and one of the most beautiful in the USA.
Rabbi Katz is a Talmud Chacham and a true Yerei Shamayim and does all of his Mikvah work simply L’shem Shamayim.
You have to know how to finesse with a chasidishe taam.
And please don’t overlook the herring which is on the table as well, a bissel farbeisin.
Moshe Pinson thinks of everything that will make the deal go down smoother.
Yashar Koach Moshe -true Chassid
I see he is following in his father’s footsteps
Well done Moshe Pinson!
A huge accomplishment!
WOW, I love the Glenlivet 18 year old bottle casually sitting in the construction site!
Would have enjoyed being there…
comes to show that will all the handlers, the rabbonim are most then interested in sholom!
It should be a good beginning of many more such occasions!
Hilarious that there are no women in any of the pictures.
Moishe Pinson, all class! What else is there to say?
A man of peace and broad vision.
Glenlivit 18
