Gmach Thanks Crown Heights
Bais Rivkah Uniform Gmach founders Rochel Lustig and Chani Karp have heartfelt thanks for the Crown Heights community as they begin their third year. Dear Crown Heights residents,
"Thank you! thank you! thank you!" is what mothers and their daughters keep repeating as they leave their private appointment at the uniform gemach here in Crown Heights.
It would simply be unjust of us not pass on these heartfelt thanks to you, the Crown Heights community. It is you who have made this gemach possible.
Without your generous contributions, we would not have built up the inventory of shirts, skirts and sweaters that serves our clients. During a personal appointment at the gemach, girls can choose from a variety of jumper and skirt styles all of which have been mended and dry cleaned before being hung on our racks. We have even had the opportunity to offer parents brand new shirts, with tags still attached, thanks to parents who kindly purchased for the gemach when buying uniforms for their own children.
As the school year ends, we ask you to please keep the gemach in mind so we can continue to serve the families of our community. We cannot maintain the inventory without you!
Contributions of new and gently worn uniforms can be dropped off onto the porch of 1287 Carroll st.
To schedule an appointment please call (718)493-1740 beginning the second week of August. If you reach an answering machine, please leave a message as all calls will be returned.
Thanking you once again for being there,
Rochel Lustig and Chani Karp

then there wont be a need for a unnecessary gemach.
but parents financial ramifications are never considered in these "great" ideas
example: the boys have requirements of light blue shirts, can be purchased anywhere at any price, as long as it looks similar and acceptable...
so many girls rely on them, especially out of towners!
Thanks so much for what you do!
