Lubavitch pianist Sarah Dukes, who recently released her debut album ‘Finding Forever’ is hoping to raise awareness – and increase the performance of good deeds – for a young man from her hometown who needs a refuah shelaima.
Inspired by the courageous struggle of her friend, 20-year-old Zachary (Zacharya Avraham Baruch Ben Chana Raiza), who has been diagnosed with Leukemia, Dukes has released a free single, ‘Dancing in the Dark,’ a piano solo played by world renowned pianist Yaron Gershovsky.
The song is very emotional for Dukes. “‘Dancing in the Dark’ represents pain and darkness that we experience in our lives, but how we are ‘believers, sons of believers’ and we must continue to ‘dance’ through the darkness,” she says.
“We know that G-d is with us, watching over us and taking care of us, and we must have faith that He will take us all out of this darkness very soon and give us revealed reasons to dance!”
