Girls Perform a Tragic Tale
Beth Rivkah of Montreal and Chaya Mushka Seminary presented an inspiring production about "Solika Hatzadekes."
Beth Rivkah of Montreal in conjunction with Chaya Mushka Seminary presented an amazing and truly inspiring production – "Solika Hatzadekes."
The play beautifully portrayed, through drama, song and dance, the unbelievable Mesiras Nefesh of a teenage girl in Morocco, Solika Hatzedekes, about 180 years ago who literally gave her life not to compromise anything in Tznius and Yiddishkeit.
The Production Heads were: Mrs. Shaindy Zirkind and Mrs. Fanny Benshimon – production coordinators; Mrs. Reut Hetsroni – drama director; Mrs. Pessy Minkowitz – writing original script and consultant.
The production left a long-lasting impression on all the girls in the play, as well as on the audience. Many people commented that the story came to life, to an extent that they felt part of it.

Her sanctification of the Name did not went unseen by all inhabitants of Numidia (Great Magreb).
It is around Purim that many Jewish maiden make pilgrimage to pray at her Ohel and swear in the Name purity and innocence; to be a Sula Ilka, 'only to Him'.
However, her story is so impressive that the Muslim themselves claim the identity of Solika as Muslim, and also visit her site.
