Veteran educator and renowned speaker Mrs. Miryam Swerdlov will be delivering a lecture Tuesday night in Tarzana titled “From Stress to Serenity,” giving listeners “6 simple tools to help you put life’s events in perspective.”
Hosted by Chabad of the Valley in California, it is one of the many topics she has been speaking about in Australia, South Africa, South America, Europe and in the U.S., blending chassidus teachings with her life experiences.
Yet, the Crown Heights teacher of Jewish history already has another trip planned in the near future: The annual inspirational tour for women and post seminary girls in Ukraine.
It is what she calls a “super life changing trip” where 15 women join the girls of her Camp YTT (who are on the way to Israel) and visit holy sites such as the Baal Shem Tov’s gravesite in Mezhibush, the Mezritcher Maggid’s in Mezritch and the Alter Rebbe’s in Haditch.
During the 5 day trip they visit Berditchev and Kiev as well and are hosted by the Chabad Shluchim in these areas, learning about their devoted work for all segments of the Jewish community.
“Words cannot describe the feelings, the regesh, the simcha, the growth and the opportunity for insight this journey will give you,” says Mrs. Swerdlov. “Whoever has gone has come home transformed, ready to undertake their lives and work while soaring to higher heights.”
I would like to go on this trip. Please send me details.
