A Crown Heights resident and son riding on a motorbike were struck by a deer late Sunday afternoon.
The incident occurred in front of Luxor Estates in the town of Loch Sheldrake. Hatzolah Paramedics requested a chopper to respond for the child who had a head injury, to be flown to a trauma center. Lifenet 75 landed at the firehouse in Loch Sheldrake just minutes later.
The father was taken by ambulance to a trauma center, but paramedics called for a chopper to meet them on the way. The landing zone for the father was in the town of Bloomingburg.
A well placed source told CatskillScoop.com that both father and son were wearing helmets at the time of the incident.
