On Wednesday night, hundreds of men and women throughout the Sydney Jewish community filled the Central Synagogue Hall in support of Sholom Mordechai Rubashkin.
The evening of solidarity brought together members of the Chabad, Chassidish and non-Chassidic communities together, with rabbis and lay leaders in attendance.
The evening was MC’d by Rabbi Bentziyon Maleky followed by speakers: Head Shliach RabbI Pinchos Feldman, and
Rabbi Michoel Gourarie.
Meir Simcha Rubashkin, one of Rubashkin’s 10 children, spoke passionately about his father’s dedication to his family and workers and charity to the community, while emphasizing the wrongs of the court case that brought him down.
Over $15,000 was raised at the event to help with legal fees for Rubashkin’s appeal. Donate today at SholomAcrossAmerica.com
