The Tanach tells us *exactly* where Dovid is buried, and this “kever” is not even on the correct hill! The mishnah also tells us that there’s a small hole leading from kever dovid to Nachal Kidron; from this “kever dovid” that hole would have to go clear through the hill on which it is, and in mid-air through the valley, and into the next hill, and out the other side! The location of Dovid Hamelech’s actual kever is a hidden mystery. No one knows exactly where it is, but Tanach states explicitly that it is in Ir David, which is at the bottom of the hill, nearly a half mile away. The site popularly known as Kever David Hamelech, shown in these pictures, is on top of Har Tziyon. It is not the kever itself. From here is theentrance (sealed up for hundreds of years) to the tunnels leading to the kever.
