thabk you shluchim office
May 26, 2011 10:38 pm

He is donating the work of construction, but the stays will not be free, if it is u wil have meshulachim from israel who are officialy shluchim sleeping there for 5 months while they walk around crown heights asking every 15 times for money ($1000). They will be offering it at greatly reduced rates for shluchim. Just like the online school where shluchim pay a lot for the school. It cost approx $30-40 a night for a hotel to keep up a room (if its done corrctly – clean linen – housecleaning… -) so they will probably charge whatever it… Read more »

Supid comment, Lubavitchers open r homes like no other community and unfortunatly we don’t have the funds for such things. Thats when ppl like Mr. Banda come around and recognize that great work Lubs around the world does and contribute to the Shluchim. Way to go Lubavitch

its time we learnes from them
May 26, 2011 7:57 pm

satmar has a lot to teach us about taking care of our own. its embarrasing that we could not raise the funds for such a basic need from our own kehila

wow
May 26, 2011 6:22 pm

Who is going to be responsible to see that the place is kept up properly? Let’s hope that Mr. Banda will be involved with this also because unfortunately there is hardly a building in CH that is maintained in tip top shape.

Be Careful
May 26, 2011 2:22 pm

They should be careful that they should do it 100% legally with the City of NY. The City of NY is cracking down on illegal hotel conversions.

WOW! TOTALLY FANSTASTIC!
‘Todah Raabah,’ Abraham Banda!
Continued great relations between Satmar & Lubavitch.
(Years ago, Lubavitch used to eat Satmar ‘hecksher.’ It was considered one of the best.)
