Cheder Chabad of Monsey will host a Chinese Auction and gala reception next Wednesday at Ateres Charna in New Square. In addition to sumptuous refreshments and an array of tantalizing prizes, the evening will feature an
irresistible package of entertainment and inspiration.
Mrs. Miryam Swerdlov, a beloved educator, renowned for her gift of finding and celebrating the humorous dimension in life’s challenges, will serve as emcee.
Mrs. Leah Rubashkin, who has captivated audiences with an intimate glimpse of the faith that keeps her torch aflame while she awaits her husband’s vindication, will grace the evening as the guest speaker.
The audience will be treated to a fascinating perspective that links remarkable breakthroughs in the Rubashkin case with the outpouring of solidarity among Jews at numerous asifos that have rallied for Sholom Mordechai’s right to a fair trial.
Mrs. Rubashkin will share with the audience the spine-tingling confluence of some of these seemingly unconnected events, such as her husband’s dramatic acquittal in the state labor trial following an outpouring of support
from the Chassidishe Monroe community.
Likewise, the massive turnout at twin rallies in the Torah enclave of Lakewood was followed by the explosive discovery of the collaboration between the presiding judge and the prosecutors that prompted the emergency motion for a new trial.
Events unfolding after the Five Towns Rally offered yet another stunning example of a turning point in the case following a resounding show of unity
among Jews. An asifah in Far Rockaway drew thousands of Jews from their homes on a frigid winter night to petition for justice for Sholom Mordechai.
Shortly afterward, three prominent legal organizations threw their support behind the Rubashkin appeal in amicus curiae briefs.
Mrs. Rubashkin will share what she calls the exhilarating “smiles” and “nods” from Above that in some of the darkest moments “let us know that we were not alone, that a Jew is never alone.”
She will also share her family’s elation at witnessing the melting of barriers between different communities and the harmony that has led Jews from across the religious spectrum to work together to help redress a shattering
injustice.

that is so nice
May this bring a Yeshua to Sholom Mordechai and to Klal Yisrael. I hope Chede Lubavitch makes a lot of money.
