An Upcoming Boom in Shidduchim?
Organizers of Nechama's Closet have visited the Rebbe's Ohel and prayed for over 100 single girls and boys to find a shidduch. By COLlive reporter
Just several weeks after their annual Chinese Auction, organizers of Nechama's Closet headed to the Rebbe's Ohel in Cambria Heights, Queens, with a list of 100 names.
They personally went to daven on behalf of single girls and bochurim and ask the Rebbe for a brocha that they should find their shidduch very soon.
Every year, the grand prize of the auction is sponsored by donations collected from singles. Each one gives whatever they are able to contribute to this prize.
"The amounts of the donations range greatly, but that is not what's important," organizers told COLlive.com. "The intention and idea behind it is, that in the z'chus of helping other Kallahs each one should find their personal bashert."
Over the past few years since this idea was initiated, a huge percentage have gotten engaged in the course of the year, they said.
Since last year alone over 100 girls and boys from the list did get married, Nechama's Closet said.
"We sincerely hope and daven that every single person who participated this year and all those looking for a shidduch, should be blessed to find their bashert very soon."
