Moshiach Seuda: A Guide

The International Moshiach Campaign has put together an information manual pertaining to the particulars of the Moshiach Seuda on the last day of Pesach.

“Acharon Shel Pesach” is particularly associated with Moshiach and the future redemption. The Haftarah for this day is from Isaiah 11, which describes the promised future era of universal peace and divine perfection.

Rabbi Israel Baal Shem Tov instituted the custom of partaking of a “Moshiach’s meal” on the afternoon of the last day of Pesach.

In addition to the matzah eaten at “Moshiach’s meal”, the Rebbes of Chabad added the custom of drinking four cups of wine, as in the seder held on Pesach’s first days.

The new booklet includes interesting sichos and historical references to make the Moshiach Seuda a more meaningful experience. This manual also includes a “seder nigunim” with a vort and a story from each of the Rebbes.

The material was written and compiled by Rabbi Ahron Fehler, writer of the weekly Moshiach Campgain sermons, with research assistance from Rabbi Michoel Seligson, a Mashpia in Oholei Torah.

“The whole concept of the Moshiach seudah is one which we have wanted to expound on for a long time, we believe this information is useful to all,” said Rabbi Chaim Hershkowitz, director of the Moshiach Campaign, a project of Kinus Hashluchim and a division of Merkos L’inyonei Chinuch.
