If you ever end up in Frankfurt am Main Airport -the busiest airport according to passenger traffic in Germany, the 3rd busiest in Europe and the 9th busiest worldwide in 2009- and you are craving for a kosher bite, search for the vending machines.
Believe it or not, the privately owned airport has recently agreed to place two snack machines with kosher food supervised by a Chabad Shliach.
One can be found between terminals B and C near the airport medical services and in close proximity to the synagogue. The second vending machine is situated at gate C13 (airside), the departure gate for all Lufthansa flights to Tel Aviv, Israel.
Fresh pastrami and salami sandwiches are available under the kosher certification of Rabbi Menachem M. Gurewitz, Director of Chabad Lubavitch of Offenbach Am Main.
Other kosher products sold there are Bamba and Bissli by Israel’s Osem company, Pesek Zman chocholate bar by Israel’s Elite, and German Haribo Gummi Candy.
But they were removed. But there are a wide range of kosher sandwiches and salads, both at JFK and LGA, at Cibo Express outlets. At JFK they are all over Terminal 5. At LGA they are in the Central Terminal and the US Air Terminal.

What, no frankfurters?
My daughter with her 3 young children waited 10 hours at newark and walked up and down the airport and couldn’t find anything with a hecher on it. And they only had bananas and oranges for breakfast hours and not the other times of the day.Pretty sad for america.

there is O-U almost in every thing in america why would you need one, Europe is completely different!!!
I spent hours in Frankfurt airport waiting for a connection flight to Russia and many other places.
Now i can actually look forward to my next stopover in Frankfurt airport.

wow, this is amazing! I say this as a shliach who has traveled with his family 30 times in 4 years through Frankfurt airport, (Russian regulations), sometimes waiting many hours for the connecting flight.

Funny, I flew ti Lizansk and Riminov in Poland, via Frankfurt, two weeks ago on Sunday. Put on taalis and tefillin in front off gazillions of Germans and others whilst waiting for a connecting flight.
