injustices

all injustices are wrong. May Hashem help us to free Shalom Mordechai Rubashkin and to aid all others who need our help.It is sad to hear anything bad about any Jew whether he has a beard or not . That is really what we teach. When a man gets his freedom taken away, we have to speak up and also for other injustices.

you sound exteremly jealous…. may you never need this kind of support for any reason!! why must we connect two non-related incidents?? even if people were wrong about the murder it doesnt mean its a problem that they are helping rubashkin… every mitzvah counts besides getting “enraged” about a murder helps in which way exactly?? while people are spending time, effort and money to help a yid be released….. seriously speaking its sooo embarrassing that fellow yidden find fault in peoples KIND actions and good deeds!!! there is unfortunately enough bad and wrongdoing- why look to make mitzvos into a… Read more »

Guys wake up #2 is probably Judge Reade.

Amazing how much PRESS you get if your name is Rubashkin
October 28, 2010 10:18 am

I agree and we all do, that Rubashkin obviously deserves true justice and he got none but it’s amazing that we live in a country where these types of things and far worse happens every day, yet regarding most of them, no one ever says a word, while about the Rubashkin case we never hear the end of it and every few minutes and every few days there are MILLIONS of $ at work, to fund and pursue this Rubashkin “non-stop PR campaign”. Why don’t we do the same for someone murdered for no reason in Police custody (it could… Read more »

you think you are so inteligent?
I would not talk about things you dont understand, AND if you have nothing nice to say dont say it.
your words are totally out of reality.
wake up.
that judge woman was horrible and with a new judge the jury might actually get all the facts. why dont you do some research into the case before you go blabbering about it.

what you’re saying really makes sense. the judge has no influence on the jurys decision.

the problems with Reade is that her involvement before the trial tainted her opinion before Rubashkin had a chance in court. She did not allow the jury to hear evidence and witnesses supporting the defense and allowed the prosecution to bring in things which she expressly forbade being brought up in the bank fraud trial. That is why the jury returned a guilty verdict and that is why the defense wants their day in court- they never really got it.

With “friends” like this… You claim to “care” about him?

He has nothing to win? What are you talking about? He is right now in prison on a 27 year sentence. And you are trying to scare people into thinking it could get worse? What, a LONGER sentence?

What I believe we have here is someone who is afraid that things will turn around entirely for R’ SMR. He will go free!

Isn’t there anyone else to address this complaint aside from the dubious Holder?

Calm down. The immigration trial & the fraud trial were two seperate proceedings. And the problem is not that the verdict was guilty so much as the fact that he was sentenced to many, many more years than would be expected – in fact he has already completed his sentence per any normal sentence for similar charges . So yes, a new trial with a different judge (AND with the further option to appeal) would be the only logical thing to hope for.

Good job

I am impressed! Particularly with the forthright and compelling writing of Ms. McCarthy. (By the way, will someone explain to #2 that he/she is confusing two different trials).

Holder? Really?
October 27, 2010 9:43 pm

If ur looking for justice the last place you want to go is Eric Holder (a man who only condemned Al-Qaeda after he decided they were racist) or for that matter anyone in the Obama regime

What a joke!

The Rubashkins are being taken for a ride. Have you ever heard of the saying “be careful of what you wish for”? IF, Rubaskin gets a new trial… he will be retried for the bank fraud charges AND for all the immigration charges which were dismissed without prejudice. The only winners here will be his legal defense team which will continue piling up billable hours, and will continue getting exposure and notoriety. Rubashkin has absolutely NOTHING to win. The new trial his defense team is asking for is not based on newly discovered exonerating evidence, but rather based on a… Read more »
