Yasher Koach! That’s truly fantasic, and It is all good….the bachurim that learn…and the ones that do Merkaz Shlichus…and the ones that rapp….each one to serve H-shem with his abilities. Together we will bring MOSHIACH NOW!

drop in the bucket
August 10, 2010 8:17 pm

just because one bochur came out with a major writing of lamdanus it is a total bifayrish yotzei min haklall and to all those who say that he is a kiddush shem lubavitch you know and i know that the shem lubavitch is that table talk in lubavitch has nothing to do with chiddushim or vertlach from chassidus or even niglah for that matter soo even if his book is 1000 pages hes a total isolated drop in a bucket a anomoly a peculiarity and in lakewood where this thing is celebrated to trade in the schoireh of torah in… Read more »

Is recognition what you want? Then you’ve wasted all your years learning chassidus…

sefer
August 10, 2010 7:08 am

It’s called a sefer – not a book…

lubavitch haskamos?
August 10, 2010 12:10 am

Did any lubavitcher rov give him haskamos, or did he get them only from prominent misnagdishe rabbonim?

Moshiah Now!!!
August 9, 2010 11:13 am

i wish to Eliyahu Tzvi Yakobovich alot of success in his learning!!!

thats eautiful keep it up!!
August 9, 2010 10:03 am

to 21, that’s the dumbest thing to say, since when do we sit and learn to get recognition, are we snags now?? ohh the poor bochurim who are ovedim and maskilim don’t get as much attention as the rappers.

and BTW the reason why they are celebrities and they are famous is because theyre talented and entertaining why don’t you complain about Avram Fried getting more media attention than bochurim who sit and learn.

the fact is what makes news is when something big/unusual/amazing happens no matter what caused it

just because not every boucher comes out with a book dosent mean we cant learn just its not about you coming out with sforim if u need proof check out the kovitz heores of lubavitch yeshivos world wide

Lubavitchers are Smarter
August 9, 2010 9:45 am

The reason Lubavitcher bochurim dont do this type of thing isnt because they dont learn, but:

1] They divide their time between Nigleh and Chassidus.
2] Unfortunately, the impetus for this kind of thing can’t come from one’s yetzer tov alone.
3] As a past editor of Sfarim of this kind, lemme say that the majority of printed chidushim are quite superficial.

Dont get me wrong: Its great this bochur’l has done this, but I dont think its fair for people from the ‘ouside’ to demand this from others.

i know ( not think ) the rebbe is ( not would be ) proud!!!!!!!!!!!

Great news
August 9, 2010 5:55 am

This is great news thank you to COL for publicizing this. This deserves a lot more attention then when a Bachur decides to become a rapper or something. This is what todays Bachurim should be looking up to.

first of all, i would like to give you a bracha to be the biggest Mekushar as you say, and Lamdan. second of all, i would like to respectfully point out that when you become one, you won’t care if no one knows the difference, and as a chossid, you will enjoy the challenge of practicing your anivus…..

August 9, 2010 2:39 am

i dont need to. if i drop out of yeshiva and become a singer or boxer il become a celebrity IN CHABAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

but if i stay in yeshiva i could be the bigest mikushar oyved and lamdan and no one wil know the differenc (even if i knew how to spel)

btw im not american

i dont know which yeshiva you go to but the ones that i go to arent mass producing lamdanim…….to say the least

FINALLY
August 8, 2010 5:16 pm

finally the websites are highliting a bachur who sits and learns.

until now it seemed that the only way a bucher wil get atention is if he goes on merkas shlichus and gets a picture with a politition.

its about time we teach our buchrim that sitting and learning is the most importent thing.

but unfortently the only reason this bucher is geting atention is becouse he got pictures with gidolim. (the sefer came out before pesach but didnt get coverige until he got the pictures………)

Did you just come out of a cave. Lubavitch has produced thousands of real talmidei chachomim since the holocaust , not to mention the hundreds and thousands from before the war.

Finally
August 8, 2010 2:42 pm

Finally Chabad has someone that knows how to learn!!

hey!!

August 8, 2010 2:17 pm

We need more people doing this…It’s fantastic.
Yasher Koach and we are looking forward for more…

kiddush lubavitch, not kiddush hashem!!!!!!!!!!!!

great
August 8, 2010 12:02 pm

500 pages on one mesechta!
60 pages is good too if there is substance in the chidushim
Even Reb Moshe Feinstein who is known to write a lot reaches just about that many pages.
