Chana Weinfeld, a 10 year-old Lubavitch girl in Israel born with a malformation in her heart, passed away Sunday, 22 Tammuz 5770.
Prayers were said for her in Lubavitch communities in Israel and around the world as she went through an operation this past week.
Her parents, Yosef and Bella Weinfeld, residents of the Kfar Chabad village, were by her side.
Her grandfather is Menachem Lehrer, former Chairman of Kfar Chabad and member of the board of the Chabad Yeshivos there and in Lod and Kiryat Malachi.
The operation at the Schneider hospital failed and her health eventually deteriorated. The news came as a shock to the family’s neighbors and friends.
“She will always be remembered in our hearts for her sweetness, niceness and kind help,” said Shliach Yerachmiel Gorelick of Holon, a family friend.
The funeral took place today from her parents home in the new Levi Yitzchak neighborhood in Kfar Chabad.
