my first reaction was 770, but then I thought that would be too easy…. they wouldnt put up such an easy guess. So I thought it was a home on Union. But my first guess was correct!!

I’m not Lubavich, though I go to Chabad centers a bunch. I grew up in Crown Heights in the late 50s and early 60s. We went to Young Israel of Eastern Parkway. Many different affiliations of Jews lived in the neighborhood — all friendly, as far as I could tell, as a child. I lived next door to Rabbi Schraage, a Lubavicher Chasid, who founded the Macabees Patrol in 1962, the forerunner of Shomrim. I know the look of the 770 building well.
