In connection with Earth Day, a reader sent an archive photo of senior Lubavitch Shluchim holding a globe in their hands. Can you identify the rabbis? More

The shluchim of today ALWAYS wear their hat, even at the funeral of Polish officials (and their kappota, too). I don’t judge the old shluchim of yesteryear, but today we have a higher goal – to finish the job they started! Maybe because we are dor hashvi’ie.

The Rebbe ALWAYS wore a hat? There are plenty of private photos of the Rebbe without a hat. There is definitely an inyan to wear a hat and jacket when walking in the street etc. but this photo looks like it was taken inside, probably at a convention or something. You should treat these shluchim with respect, they were hand picked by the Rebbe. I don’t know what you have accomplished in your life, but I’m sure whoever you are you are not in a position to tell these shluchim how to act…

Chutzpah

#31 responded to my question, “Why are they not wearing hats?” #31 wrote: Because they all still had hair – the bald always wear a hat!

What chutzpah!! The Rebbe always wore a hat. A shaliach should always wear a hat. That is the uniform of a soldier. Bald or not has nothing to do with it! Are you saying the Rebbe always wore a hat because he was…?

I am deeply offended.

Earth Day is directly connected to Lenin YMSH
April 23, 2010 4:06 am

Earth Day was created by a far lefty Ira Einhorn. It was specifically made to fall on Lenin’s 100 b-day. Sadly it is now part of the American education system to the extent that it has eve penetrated the Chabad world
