Taking a break from midterms and exams, students from Arizona State University joined for a Rosh Chodesh barbeque with community members from Chabad of Chandler for a “Chillin and Grilling Barbeque” with Rabbi Shmuel Tiechtel at the Rohr Chabad House.
Chabad student board President Brooke Menucha Alyeshmerni orchestrated the event, complete with lots of delicious homemade kosher food.
To combat the recent publication of an atrociously anti-semitic article in a local newspaper and fight against an ever-increasing rise in anti-Israeli sentiment on campus, students at Chabad of ASU and community members are actively stepping up activities, which include the start of a weekday shacharis minyan, an upcoming Sinai Scholars fieldtrip, and a special Sephardic-themed Shabbos.
