After two years of battling the legal system to approve the plans and permits for a new Chabad Jewish Center in the State of Washington, the green light was given.
The Hearing Examiner announced Friday, Nissan 11, the decision that the appeal was granted and plans can go forward with the project of building the new Chabad Jewish Center in Pierce County.
“What a truly wonderful birthday gift to the Rebbe, whose vision and guidance inspired the establishment of Chabad Jewish Center in Tacoma, Washington six years ago,” Rabbi Zalman and Miriam Heber wrote to their supporters.
The attorneys were extremely touched by the timing of the decision as well.
To quote Attorney Carolyn Lake who represented Chabad of Pierce County, “I am so very happy for the Chabad community. I do not think it is a coincidence that this decision issued on the birthday of the Chabad movement’s founder, but instead reveals planning and handwriting from the heavens.”
