Chabad of the Conejo in Agoura Hills, CA, is hosting retired Israel Major General Doron Almog as part of of their lectures series.
“Hero: General Doron Almog Speaks Out” will take place tonight, Feb. 8, at 8 p.m. at the Hyatt Westlake Plaza grand ballroom, 880 S. Westlake Blvd., Westlake Village.
The lecture is co-sponsored by the Jewish National Fund, Aleh Negev and the Conejo Valley Friendship Circle.
Almog had a distinguished 35-year career in the Israeli Defense Forces and participated in a number of special operations, including the pursuit of the terrorists behind the killing of Israeli Olympians in Munich in 1972, the rescue operation at Entebbe airport in 1976 and the airlift of Ethiopian Jews in the 1980s.
Almog is also the founder and chairman of Aleh Negev, a rehabilitative village in the Negev for developmentally disabled children and young adults.
The general is the father of an autistic son, Eran.
