i have always loved MBD AND AvrahamF, MBD, for his varmer neshoma and he gets your neshama and guf going , but Avraham frieds songs by far are have more talent and depth and it seems like a lot more goes into them……every album is a master piece they are so unique…. from nisht gedaiget ,to tanya, aderabe, bezras hashem yisborech ulemazel tov, yochid verabim, i know they are not all his, but his style……. like all the Yom tov ehrlich stuff his contrabution to yiddishe music is huge…. AF songs are so powerful, but more then that you can… Read more »

Thoroughly Jewish

Thank you COL for showing this beautiful video. Yehuda Ceitlin did a very professional interview without leaving out “Der Yiddishe Neshamah.” The background of the water was also a great spot. Mordechai ben David’s music stands on its own. I was very impressed with the man himself, so sincere, candid and engaging. This scene was surely 100% Jewish heart. The stories about the Rebbe were inspiring. I always heard the MBD was mekushar to the Rebbe but I didn’t realize the extent.

where is the chabad energy and taste???
September 9, 2009 9:26 pm

investigative reporting is don but you see in the beggining that he wanted to farbreng and talk about the rebbe and talk about singing to yidden and stories and tidbits not be analyzed

but
September 9, 2009 8:05 pm

lipa and matisyahu were mechadesh their own style; they’re not trying to copy anyone else.
MBD is BY FAR the best!!!

September 9, 2009 12:37 pm

thank you Yudi zatilin! impressive work.

WHAT?
September 9, 2009 12:32 pm

How on earth can he justify goyishe ‘adaptations’? I have the greatest respect for MBD as an artist, but he is not a Rebbe – because a Rebbe adapted a goyishe tune doesn’t give MBD license to decide what tunes are kosher to take.

a Deep Yid!
September 9, 2009 12:11 pm

and on this we say, thanks to collive and Yechi MBD forever!

Wow !
