Peoria’s Jewish community is celebrating the fifth night of Hanukkah in a unique way…with roller skates.
The lighting of a menorah made of roller skates is the highlight of the annual Hanukkah celebration through the Chabad Jewish Center.
Shliach Rabbi Eli Langsam says they’re always looking for ways to keep kids in-tune with the celebration.
And it proved effective today as dozens skated around the glowing menorah at the Peoria Palace Roller Skating Rink.
