Pittsburgh celebrated Yud Tes Kislev on Friday night with a fabrengen and Sholom Zochar (for Zalman Shimon Deren) at the home of Dr. Menasheh Weiss.
On Motzei Shabbos at the Pittsburgh Yeshiva Boys School, where over three hundred men and women attended a festive Melave Malka, catered by the local Yeshiva sisterhood.
Rabbi Yisroel Altein was the MC and discussed the importance of the day and the responsibility we all have to learn more chassidus in addition to the daily Shiurim.
The Head Shliach Rabbi Yisroel Rosenfeld elaborated on the subject of “Mayonosecho chutzah” that Moshiach will come when we penetrate the furthest points, and how it is incumbent on everyone to do their part with the spreading of yidishkiet to all with whom we come in contact and to find others with whom we don’t usually come in contact.
Rabbi Ephraim Rosenblum, Principal of the Yeshivah Boys School, made a siyim on the Tanya, and spoke of the importance of not speaking during davening followed by divrie hisorrerus.
Dr. Yaakov Guterson welcomed the twenty new families who moved to Pittsburgh over this past year, to the community and spoke of the great blessings we have of belonging to such a wonderful community, where there is such achdus and leadership.
The final speaker, Rabbi Yossi Deren, Fabrenged of the importance of Yud Tes Kislev and the message it has for everyone of us and of course the responsibility we have to be part of the Rebbes community and to bring light to all.
Special mention was made of the Chairman of the United Jewish Federation of greater Pittsburgh, Mr. Zev Rudolph.

I’ve said it before and I will say it again: There is no place in the world that has a community that people flock to join like the one in Pittsburgh. I’m proud to say I grew up there. Pittsburgh is the BEST in every way. Just come and visit ,see for yourself!
