Over 170 bochurim from two Canadian Chabad Yeshivas took part in a joint Achdus Shabbos in honor of Yud Tes Kislev, held in Montreal, Canada.
Students of Yeshivas Lubavitch of Toronto traveled with their Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Akiva Wagner to spend the Rosh Hashana of Chassidus with the Chabad Yeshiva Gedolah – Rabbinical college of Quebec.
The bochurim, hosted by the Montreal Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Leibel Kaplan, packed into the main study hall Zal for a farbrengen Friday night which went on until 3:30 am.
The Farbrengen resumed on Shabbos afternoon from 2:30pm until 1:00am when the bus driver for Toronto’s Yeshiva insisted he needed to leave.
Leading the farbrengens were Rabbi Wagner, Mashpia Rabbi Itche Meir Gurary, Rabbi Moshe Stern, Rabbi Tzvi Hirsh Gurary, Rabbi Mordechai Wenger and Rabbi Moshe Nosson Fischer.
“I have never been so engaged and inspired to try harder to learn more and to bring joy to the Rebbe as this farbrengen has taught me,” one student was overheard saying.
Before anyone invented Pashkez or Bloom’s or any Jewish brands of potato chips, we ALL ate Wise Chips. THERE NEVER WAS ANYTHING WRONG WITH THEM!!!
Who decided this new chumrah of bishul Yisroel applying Potato Chips????
Instead of more chumras our youth need new kulahs. At a farb we should make a kulah ON THE TABLE!!!
Bochurim – forget the potato chips, make kulahs!!!!
Didnt he have a great fall?? Theres no more H D in montreal……..Its called Snappy Snax & Its Bishul Yisroel……
aguante mendi tawil !!!
hi!
there weren’t any humpties, they only serve chips that are pas yisroel
I don’t think Rabbi Wagner allows Toronto bochurim to eat Humpty Dumpty chips (either b’cause not bishul yisroel or some other chumra). I know he is VERY makpid on what he allows HIS bochurim to eat!! Can someone confirm if he stopped his bochurim from eating Humpties??
Ah… good old Montreal chips.
The late night farbrengens in the old zal.

A group of former toronto bochurim(myself included) travelled to toronto for yud tes-chof kisleiv in order to keep the seder, that on this special day, there should not be a hefsek in the seder.
Honestly, after a few l’chaims and a few hours of farbing – Wagner Wenger Werner Whatever, it is all the same! If you don’t believe me, say another l’chaim and think about atzmus.
I hope the Montreal yeshiva will take “nekama” on Toronto and repay them with a visit b’karov!
