A Shabbos Achdus organized by the Bais Shmuel Congregation took place Friday night in Oholei Torah hall in Crown Heights.
Over 1,000 men and women packed into the main ballroom for a farbrengen and evening of inspiration which went on until 1:00 am.
MC Dudi Farkash, gabbai of Bais Shmuel, introduced speakers Rabbi Simon Jacobson and Rabbi Levi Eisenberg, brother-in-law of Shliach Levi Deitsch obm, who recently passed away.
“The feeling in the room was indescribable,” Farkash told COLlive. “So many different types of people from our neighborhood, sitting side by side, singing nigunim together – it was an amazing, inspiring, moment.”
The crowd sang nigunim such as Ani Maamin and Padah B’Sholom together, and were moved by Eisenberg’s words about his brother in law Levi Deitsch.
“Levi never thought of himself,” Eisenberg said. “His entire life he was worried about others, even in his last days.”
Rabbi YY Jacobson, Rabbi of Bais Shmuel, was the final speaker of the evening.
“Since the Rebbe’s farbrengens, I have never been so touched by a farbrengen,” one participant told COLlive. “We felt as though Moshiach would come right then.”
beautiful event we need more like this in ch – i think it would be great for the community. There was a real sense of cohesiveness
I went at 930 and stayed till then end!!!!!!!!! This brought Nachas to the Nisiyim!!!!!!!!!
It’s a pity there could not be any pictures as it was an absolutely beautiful, moving event. It is so amazing to see so many members of CH from all different shuls coming together to farbreng. And what a farbrengen it was.
A heartfelt thank you to the organizers and speakers and especially Moshe Pinson who always seems to be the organizer of these events. The Rebbe surely was very proud!
a big yasher koach goes to rabbi noach heber of chabad of midtown who put in endless hours to see the programs success. thank you reb noach. may hy”s continue to give you the strength to do all these wonderful things.

what would CH do with out Moshe Pinson???
if not for him this event and many others would have never happened and true to his color he doesn’t even get his name mentioned once!!!
I attended the event because it was Yud Tes Kislev and felt the need to be with other chassidim. I did not expect much more. But to my surprise I left transformed. No exaggeration. The heartfelt words of Rabbi Simon Jacobson — that we must go to war with our own complacency, that we must ask ourselves how Yud Tes Kiselv changed our lives today — these piercing words seared through me, and do not let me rest. Trust me, for someone liked myself, locked into my own routines, that is a big, huge accomplishment. A yesher koach from the… Read more »
