Sruly is not moving to Springfield. He is moving to a place full of yidden and young yidishe families. The sky is the limit, both physically and spiritually and I’m sure he will reach it.

We are psyched to have him!

Mazel Tov!! The Rebettizin too must be openly friendly & genuine to spark the hearts of disconnected Jews who would respond well if warmly embraced by new Chabad community leaders. You guys are awesome and will do great! May Hashem bless you with restoring many lost Yidden, and may this be a perfect place to successfully raise your family.

dying Jewish population there
November 24, 2010 1:56 am

Springfield township has a 6.9% Jewish population. Overall, it has a -4.5 population rate, meaning it is mostly old people. When I grew up there it was very Jewish with young families. Today’s dismal state reflects the total mixed-marriages of the Philadelphia area, thanks to Reform and Conservative and the absence of orthodoxy in the 60s and 70s. The baby boomers married goyim and moved out of the area Good luck nonetheless.
