A group of 17 girls ages 5 through 8 joined together this past Sunday evening in Surfside, Florida to celebrate the wedding anniversary of the Rebbe and Rebbetzin.
Organized by Yakira Leah Dorfman, the girls arrived dressed beautifully in Yom Tov clothes, sang Niggunim, ate a delicious meal, shared stories, made a grapejuice L’Chaim and each took home a bencher as a memento.
For dessert they ate wedding cake and felt a real sense of beauty as they sat around the elegantly decorated dining table, truly decorated for young ladies celebrating a simcha.
“The girls, or shall we say young ladies, felt accomplished and proud to be daughters of Yisroel and Chabad,” said Dorfman.
To share their pride, they remained true to their name “The Aleph Wondergirls” as they packed gifts for the Aleph Institue to be distributed this Chanukah to children whose parents are either away serving in the military or are incarcerated.
The Aleph Wondergirls eagerly await weekly events at The Shul of Bal Harbour and most especially are awaiting Chof Beis Shvat when the girls who have received an “excellence” in Middos will receive a strand of Aishes Chayil pearls.

The Aleph Wondergirls have been meeting with Yakira Leah Dorfman for the past two months and are one of the many groups of The Shul’s new “turbo boosted” youth programming. This was their first Farbrengen – hopefully one of many.
