A number of Congressmen, both Democrat and Republican, have come forward in support of Sholom Mordechai Rubashkin in recent weeks.
Congressmen who have written to Attorney General Eric Holder about the former meat plant executive include Congressman Bill Pascrell (D-NJ), Congressman Ted Poe (R-TX), Congressman Ed Towns (D-NY), Congressman Richie Neal (D-MA), Congressman Mike Coffman (R-CO) and Congressman John Culberson (R-TX).
Congressman Neal, a senior member of Congres and the Democratic At-Large Whip, writes: “After a full read of the facts, the outcome of this matter is quite troublesome.”
Neal asks that Holder investigate the conduct of Judge Linda Reade, requesting “full and fair consideration to the misconduct that occurred between the prosecutors and the presiding judge in this case.”
Florida Shluchim Zalman Bukiet, Moshe Denburg, Sholom Ber Korf and Ruvi New met with newly re-elected Congressman Ted Deutch on Friday, presenting him with a file on the Rubashkin case.
Deutch, who sits on the Senate Judiciary Committee, promised to review it carefully and take appropriate action.

Holder has himself argued for some of the same outrageous motions brought against Rubashkin. One example is the “Jew equals a flight-to-Israel risk” argument in denial of bail. Eric Holder may, or may not be, an anti-semite, but he sure comes across as one on many occasions. Holder is a political appointee of… Read more »
18 congressmen have now sent letters, and there are a some that will be sent in the next few days, including one that will shock you.
stay tuned
John Culberson from Texas is an extremely honorable man. This is the second time I’ve seen him go out of his way to help a yid. The first time was when Michael Savage was banned from entering England for his so called ‘extreme hate’, he granted Michael Savage an Honorary Texas Citizenship and thus petitioned Hillary Clinton to fight for ‘his constituent’ – Dr. Michael Savage.
I’m not G-D forbid equating the distress SMR is in to the distress MS is in. May Reb Sholom Mordechai see yeshuos gedolos now mamash!
can col post a story aggregating all the congressmen’s support until now (one story that has all these plus past letters to holder?)
maybe even maintain a sister site or blog documenting all of it as it goes on?
How many letters are there now? I heard that once there are at least 20, the ball can get rolling…
