A new course with the objective of developing graphic and print designers empowered with the skills to begin working immediately is being offered by the Crown Heights Jewish Community Council.
Graphic Design Specialist (B-11) will be taught by experienced professional instructors and will take place Mondays and Wednesdays, 7:00pm – 11:00pm at 390 Kingston Avenue in Brooklyn.
Successful completion of the 7 week course leads to Adobe recognized certification in the primary tools used for graphic design: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign.
The course includes 56 hours of instruction, along with 10 hours of project work. Additional practice is available in the computer lab or at home using trial software available for free from Adobe.
The course includes the following modules:
•Photoshop Level 1 (8 hours)
•Photoshop Level 2 (8 hours)
•Illustrator Level 1 (8 hours)
•Illustrator Level 2 (8 hours)
•InDesign Level 1 (8 hours)
•InDesign Level 2 (8 hours)
The course is free for eligible students and registered students must commit to attend and complete the course since they are taking the slot away from others who might be more serious about building a career in design.
The following are eligible for funding:
