Eli Bakal, Charlene Swain and Sasha Matusevich, The North of Boston JLI Teen interns, won an international JLI Teens Video Contest by the Rohr Jewish Learning Institute.
The Boston trio competed against other JLI Teen Interns from around the world, putting their creativity and acting skills to the test.
The assignment was to create a commercial for JLI Teens that was engaging and innovative.
Eli, Charlene, and Sasha collectively decided to put their $300 Grand Prize towards an Israel-oriented event. The event will be in conjunction with the JLI Teens course being offered in the North Short Chabad Center by Rabbi Yossi Lipskar.
They were very busy over the last few months promoting the latest JLI Teens course – Israel 3D: A Journey Through Time, Space, and Beyond. The course is set to begin this week, October 24 and will run for 6 Sundays.
The course is designed specifically for teens to empower them to be able to discuss the serious issues that face Israel and the Jewish people today and around the world.

GO JLI TEENS
i’m so impressed that the teens recognize how important torah-study is – i’m doubly impressed that they are given the space and creativty to express the message in their own way..
chazak to rabbi yossi lipsker and crew!
Great opportunity fotr those looking for Shlichus. Its a huge part of Klal Yisroel that has hardly been addressed by Shluchim in the past.
Strange choice.
Love this! Entertaining and moving at the same time!
Makes me want to join the group, but I’m too old!
