Two Jewish day schools in Beijing, China, teemed up to create the first ever kosher Sukkah in Asia, the perhaps the first in the world this year, made out of LEGO.
The project by the children of Ganeinu International School and MAC (Menorah Academy of the Capital – Middle School) was constructed at the Rohr Family Chabad Community Centre.
The building of the sukkah took over 12 hours, using 200 KILO (440 pounds)
of lego – approximately 18,000 pieces of LEGO.
The program was organized by Chabad Lubavitch of Beijing, run by Rabbi Shimon and Dini Freundlich.
There is also kosher lego candy that is sold. You can play before you snack!
