Shiffy,
I would love to tell you who he is, but unfortunately the fellow you refer to is lost amongst the crowd.
I have no idea why I am making an issue out of this.

achdus
September 28, 2010 2:27 pm

having been a guest in that sukka for some of the yomtov meals, i can attest that the meals were shared together by people aligning themselves with both groups. and they danced together at the end of the meals too.

What a difference in attendance!

Nice to see so many bochurim in attendance at R’ Yisroel’s farbrengen. It’s refreshing to see that such a chassidishe mashpia is appreciated by the young generation.

Sit down and farbreng with Mendel Schneerson for a couple of hours, you’ll find him more learned and more of a bal shmueh than many of the so called “rosh yeshivahs and mashpiim” of today.

achdus?
September 28, 2010 12:25 pm

lol,this a golusdike new definition
now achdus means “separation”

Vos far a Achdus
September 28, 2010 10:59 am

TWO farbrengens????? ACHDUS IS ONE

correction
September 28, 2010 10:10 am

the two farbrengens happened on the same night, back to back, on motzei shabbos.
all the bochurim, from both farbrengens, behaved respectfully to one another. the first group that finished cleaned up very quickly and efficiently to make room for the next group as soon as they were done.
the second group did not put any pressure on the first group to hurry up, but rather waited patiently.

next step
September 28, 2010 10:06 am

bring them together at the same time

wondering
September 28, 2010 9:45 am

these 2 events were held on separate nights. why is that called achdus?

Chaim
September 28, 2010 9:21 am

In order for it to be unity, wouldn’t you need both groups there at the same time, not on different nights??

Not So Impessed
September 28, 2010 1:47 am

Should this be a headline??!!
How low are we that we should be impressed that a Lubavitcher hosted two different groups (with opposing viewpoints) at TWO DIFFERENT TIMES!
Maybe I’m just naive to think that Ahavas Yisroel means just that (even to fellow Lubavitchers).
