Vov Tishrei is the Yahrtzeit of Rebbetzin Chana, the Rebbe’s mother. The Rebbe related the famous story of his mother who followed her husband, R’ Levi Yitzchak, into exile and crushed berries with her bare hands to make ink so he could continue to write pirushim on Torah.
The Rebbe emphasized the importance of learning from Rebbetzin Chana’s ways, and to this effect Yagdil Torah has put together a small Kovetz of Divrei Raza”l and Sichos of our Rebbeim discussing the Zchus a Jewish woman has to be an Eizer Kenegdo- i.e. to assist her husband and children in their learning of Torah.
The Kovetz also contains a Sicha about Vov Tishrei and Mishnayos on one of the letters of her name.
The Kovetz will be available in shuls and for pick-up at the Heichal Halimmud center located at 574 Empire Blvd.
much appreciated
The inclusion of the translation to English is much appreciated, too!
Go from strength to strength, Yagdil Torah!
